Temptation Island

‘Temptation Island’ proved to be a suitable title for a cooperation between media artists Rik Möhlmann & Sander Houtkruijer. In this exhibition they organized meetings between their artistic attitudes. The title has been lent from the reality soap on the commercial tv-channel Veronica and transformed it into an art- and media-theoretical interpretation of those words. From this metaphoric framework they examined the role of images (washandjes) as pure attractors, only referring to their own esthetics or semiotics, as if they were islands.
